We went to the World expo with our tour guide.
His English name was John and he was very nice.
He got our tickets for us and took us there on the train.

We passed lots and lots of pavilions from countries all around the world. We really liked the pavilion for Algeria. The mural on their wall looked really good.

The Angola pavilion looked very interesting too.

Soon we found the Australia pavilion. It was like the colour of the outback. Thousands of Chinese people were going to see our pavilion.

We found this kangaroo near the entrance.

And a wombat too.

The first thing everyone saw inside was aboriginal art. We thought that was really good because Aboriginal people are the first Australians and we wanted all the Chinese visitors to know about them.

The visitors really liked these poles and all the different designs on them.

There were displays to teach people about the arrival of Captain Cook from England, the first fleet and the early settlers. Everyone liked it, especially the kids.

There was a special section about Mr Rudd's apology to our indigenous Australians. We climbed up on the shelf to read all about it.

The Chinese people recognised the Sydney Opera House straight away. It's famous!
The Cathy Freeman model was good too.

There was a watery tunnel to walk through. It was teaching visitors about how most Australians live on the coastline. People liked it a lot.

There were giant seedpods with lights inside instead of seeds. It was teaching people about Australian plants. They looked REALLY good.

There was a circular theatre and people could watch a show about life in Australia's cities. It was clever and interesting and best of all it was fun for the visitors. We felt proud of it.

At the end there were divers in the air and it looked like the Great Barrier reef.
They dived down and grabbed a man from the crowd.
He pretended to be really scared...
It was funny and the crowd laughed a lot.

We tricked a few Chinese people with this crocodile.

We were happy to find an Australian food section on the way out because we were hungry.
We chose the 100% Aussie beef burger meal.
It cost 60 yuan. That's about $10.00.
They were yum...

We saw a parade with floats from different countries.
This dragon float was our favourite.

And we saw dancers wearing bananas.
Unusual but fun!

We waited in a queue for hours to get into the China pavilion.
It was a really huge and amazing building.

We had lots of time to make friends in the queue.
People just loved us!

It was a great day at the expo and we met Haibao, the expo mascot, on the way out.
